How Invisalign works
Invisalign uses a series of clear, custom-made aligners that fit snugly over your teeth. Each set is worn for around two weeks, gently and gradually moving your teeth into their ideal position.
You’ll visit us periodically to check your progress, receive your next sets of aligners, and make small adjustments as your smile transforms. Because the aligners are removable, you can eat, brush, and floss as normal - and continue living life without restrictions.
At Keyworth Dental, we use advanced 3D digital scanning to map every detail of your smile and plan your treatment with total precision. You’ll even be able to preview your expected results before starting, so you know exactly what to expect.

1. Consultation & smile scan
Your Invisalign journey
We understand orthodontic treatment is an investment in your confidence. To make it manageable, we offer interest-free staged payments spread over the course of treatment, usually in three or four instalments. Our team will be happy to discuss a plan that works for you.
Flexible payment options
We start with a relaxed, in-depth consultation to understand your goals and assess your teeth and bite. Using our iTero digital scanner, we take a 3D image of your mouth, no impressions needed, and show you a simulation of your potential outcome.
2. Custom treatment planning
Dr Mehta designs a detailed digital plan, mapping each stage of tooth movement. You’ll see how your smile will change before you even begin.
3. Your aligners are made
Your bespoke aligners are created and delivered to the practice. You’ll wear each set for around two weeks, for 20–22 hours a day, removing them only for eating and brushing.
4. Progress and support
You’ll visit us every 6–8 weeks for progress checks. If small refinements are needed, they’re included as part of your care.
5. Retainers and long-term stability
Once your smile is beautifully aligned, we’ll fit your retainers — both fixed and removable — to keep your teeth perfectly positioned. You’ll also receive ongoing supervision for a full year to ensure lasting results.
